Omori Estate

Our Wines

Since 2005 Omori Estate has produced outstanding Rose's from its Pinot Noir grapes and in 2006 we produced our first Pinot Gris. In 2008 we introduced of our first estate-grown Pinot Noir to our range of wines. This ouitstanding wine exhibits all the very best characteristics of Pinot Noir.

We have been delighted with all of our young vine wines and particularly pleased to win recognition at the Bragato Conference and the Liquorland 100 in 2008 and the International Aromatic Wine Competition in 2009.

  • 2009 Pinot Rosé

This Rosé is a rich pink colour with the aroma of strawberry and glazed cherries. Premium Pinot Noir grapes from the Omori Stream block are field selected, hand harvested, and whole bunch pressed to extract only the best free run juice and minimum colour extraction. The grapes were gently de-stemmed into a tank and the juice was drained off after two days contact.

The gently coloured juice is then cold fermented in stainless steel to protect fruit characters and aromas.

Review of Omori Estate 2009 Rose. Albany Buzz - Auckland

"Wow! was all we could say. It has substance, a great nose, lashings of cherry and strawberry flavours and a clean crisp finish – in fact it is stunning. It is a taste of summer in the glass, it is fun and it is refreshing and has sufficient of the Pinot Noir flavour to add substance and interest. Buy this little beauty now before it's all gone."
